condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: John Deere
model name / number: X739
Cross posted on Facebook; text is the same. JD X739 mower, under 140 hours. Gas engine, 4wd, all wheel steer, 60" high capacity drive over mower deck (not auto-connect). Paint very good; scrape on mower deck (no rust) and small chips and scratches on tractor but presents very well. Always kept in a shed, never outside.
Just added 3 point hitch about 10 hours ago mostly to move trailers when mowing, only did about 2 hours of subsoil ripper so not abused. I was amazed at how easily it pulled the ripper! No rear PTO but that is easily added if you want to run a tiller or other implement.
47" two stage John Deere snow blower with front quick attach set up works flawlessly; deep snow or slush is no problem. Blower paint is fair. Some surface rust where it runs on the ground but no rust through.
Rear wheel spacers added so you can run tire chains in the rear, which I do every winter and nothing rubs. With chains and 4wd it is unstoppable in snow.
Comes with a JD soft cab with doors. The cab is in usable condition but not near perfect. I don't mind not having a cab when blowing snow so after using it the first year I skipped the hassle of putting it on, removed the mounting hardware and it has been in the shed since. If I had a longer driveway it probably would have been very nice to have, and comes with all the correct mounting hardware for this tractor.
Other than the minor paint scratches the only negative is it has the X739 front end rattle. I had my JD dealership look at this and they assured me this is a common issue and JD has a bulletin on it saying it does not affect reliability or longevity. Bulletin is 96150, I can't find it online but a dealer should be able to find it for you.
Reason for sale is I realized I need a compact tractor with a loader. Won't mow as well or as fast as this X739 but I guess I can't have everything. $12,000 OBO or trade for compact tractor with loader.
