Working condition. It takes 3 AA batteries. 1 AA for the clock. 2 AA for the music. Batteries are not included. The pendulum or sleigh on top moves only when you move it. There is no automatic activation for the pendulum. I did not see any device that would activate it. It appears to be made motionless unless moved.
Original packaging (box and accessories) is not included unless shown in the photographs or otherwise stated. Please refer to the photos for a better understanding of condition. I am not a expert.
