We are trying to be rid of our 2bdrm, 2bth apartment near Kirkwood and Gilbert as soon as possible due to some roomies moving for occupational reasons. Preferably before December, but definitely before January!
A perk is the two bathrooms, the roomy living room for two people (we comfortably fit three), and it is in a very safe part of town. We have generous parking and bike racks. The apartment comes with a dishwasher, central heating and air, and traditional kitchen appliances (the stove is electric). You pay all utilities except water. Our apartment is directly across the hall from a washer and dryer. We have an open porch for those who smoke outlooking the city. There is a very large closet in the kitchen that we use for recycling and storage. The walk downtown is only about 15 minutes, and the drive is naturally less than 5. We are very close to Waterfront Hy-vee.
When we moved in, there were a few slight flaws with the apartment (there is a dent in one bathroom door, and another bedroom door). However, upon moving in there is a checklist that will take care of anything that might become a problem later. Before we move, one of the current inhabitants will be in charge of arranging a professional cleaning of the carpet, because it is required by lease.

The apartment complex asks that we do not have pets or smoke, but however we do currently have two kittens that have lived here for a few months. A few other people in our building also have pets.
